Well went to the vascular surgeon today and found out that the surgery that he had done on my arm where he put my fistula needed further surgery! So I had to go have mapping done on the same arm to see where he has to cut to do some more work on it, if not they cant get the needles in to do dialysis. If they don't do that they will have to put a tube in my chest to do it. That would be my only access. So hopefully he can do my arm, the only thing is he has to make an incision that goes the length of my lower arm. Not a happy camper about this situation. I know I am writing about negative stuff, I have to vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Holidays:

Well this is the second week I have this cough that I just cant shake! I am taking everything for it. Now I have a very bad pain in my lower back on the right hand side of it. The doctor said when you cough you put pressure on the back and that's why I have the pain. Well I am living on pain pills now, don't want to but kind of have to, take as directed by the doctor. On the brighter side we are two weeks from Christmas, and all my shopping is done thank GOD... Well that's about it, Merry Christmas to my readers have a great New Year.........

Thanksgiving I went to see my two daughters and my 5 grandsons it was great had a good time. Also today was a good day for me no pain, and not too tired or sleepy from the kidney's. Did not get sick either today which is great for a change. Well have to start Christmas shopping pretty soon I guess, that is always work.

Today I went to work out. I am only doing 20 or 30 pound weights at a time because of my fistula in my left arm for dialysis when the time finally comes for that. Otherwise things are going pretty well. Got my transmission flushed out today, and the car is shifting much better now and that's great.

Back again

My back is killing me again, and I am going to PT 3 times a week. When I go and come home it feels ok. But when I am home it starts to bother me with pain. I am beginning to think that it is chronic pain. Any way had my car in the shop the other day. I needed a timing belt, and cost me 600 bucks. They said if I had gone any further the engine would of blown. So Im glad I got it done anyway, I still have my car and it runs good.

Hello

Hello just wanted to update on the PT, it is helping my back it is getting better. I was with my two daughters the other day and enjoyed it. I will see them again on Thanksgiving, I look forward to that. I will also see 2 of my grandsons which I have not seen for a long,long time.

PT

Today I am due to go to PT for my back. I am hoping it will get better in a short time. I would like to be able to go and work out soon after it heals. I already went the other day, and I was in pain when I got back home from it. Also I am going to a surprise birthday party for my daughter on Sunday. I am looking forward to that.

Pain

Hi yesterday I was getting up from my computer and slipped on the rug. Well instead of falling I got hold of the desk and another piece of furniture and twisted my back, contorting it. It is painful as hell, I went to the doctor yesterday evening and got some relaxers for my pain. It seemed to help a little bit. I am still in pain but not as much.

Today I joined a gym, worked out for 45 minutes. All I want is a little cardio and some weights. I can go until I go on dialysis that is. Then I can go on my days off if I feel up to it that is. Last couple of days getting a little nauseated not a lot it comes and goes.

Today we went over to my grandson's house to celebrate his 3rd. birthday, and it was a lot of fun. He got lots of presents and had a great time opening them all up. Well Christmas is not far away, I guess it will be time to think about it soon.

Well my wife and I just got back from Rehoboth beach, and we had a very nice time. We went down for our 10th anniversary, we stayed at the Helophen hotel.
It was a nice quite hotel, we also spent a lot of time on the boardwalk, just sitting and walking around, in and out of different shops. We also had dinner last nite at a place called the big fish, it was a little pricie but the food was excellent. Well time to get back to normal now again, all good things must come to an end.

Today just got back from a meeting. Forgot what day it was, sometimes I do that. I am continuing to feel better my kidneys that is. The numbers are stabilizing so says the doctor. I am getting tired of not working, wish I could work. But you have to walk a lot, and I cant. I cant even go for a walk around my house without getting tired and having to stop.

Well my grandson just went home, he is a lot of fun. I miss him when he is not here. Just sitting around watching football. By the way went to the kidney doctor the other day. My readings are stabilizing, so I am that much further from dialysis, and that's a good thing.

Hi today was a great day went to the kidney doctor and am happy my numbers are stabilizing thank God. Which means I can put off dialysis even further now then before. My wife just got her car back from repair, someone put some gunk in the radiator and she did not have any heat. She is happy now she has heat and only had to pay a little bit, they had the car for almost two days. If she would have taken it to anyone else it probably would have cost much more for all the labor done on it.

Here it is yet another day is going by, and still no dialysis which is great.
Hope whoever saw my blog enjoyed the pictures on it. Have to take the wife into work in the morning, and drive up to get her car repaired for her. She has no heat and the brakes are making noises. I'm posting a picture of my grandchildren at least some of them. Andrew is 2 and Areial is 5 hope you like them.

Today was a good day for me. Went to the mall with my wife, she bought some stuff for the grandchildren. Andrew's birthday is coming up soon. Were having a party for him on the 3rd of October, he will be 3 yrs. old.
Kidney wise I am getting a little sick, however not as bad as it could be. I think it is the calm before the storm.

Today is a good day. I am heading out to eat and then make a meeting. I am going to post some pictures of Hawaii from last February, hope you all enjoy them. Day 4

Today was a good day. Went to an AA meeting this morning, and will go to another one tonight. Not feeling bad today kidney wise that is, that's good news for me. Iam thinking its the calm before the storm. Here are some pictures of my wife in a play that she was in recently.

Today

Hi today I had a breathing test, the doctor sends me to have this stupid test done every year. It is terrible, I could not wait until it was over. Today was a good day as far as my ckd is concerned. I am feeling pretty good. I was at a meeting today at the senior center and no one knew what a blog was, imagine that will you. My grandson is over with us tonight and he is a joy, he is almost 3 and lots of fun.

Today I am taking it easy just watching tennis on tv. Computer acted weird
before, finally got the internet back, Thank GOD. Not really feeling to bad today, having a good day kidney wise that is. What I mean is I have not gotten sick like I always do, and also tired. Cant wait for the regular football season to start up.

Hi my name is John. This is my first try at this so I hope I do ok with it.
I am sober almost 34 years in AA. I also have CKD bad kidneys, going to need dialysis soon. I am not looking forward to that at all. Maybe some of you out there can relate to what I am going through. I am trying to keep a positive attitude about it. So far it is working, well that's all for now.
